Prince Carl is a handsome full-blooded long-haired chihuahua.  His previous owner indicated he is AKC registered, but was unable to provide paperwork. Prince Carl has some of the typical Chihuahua traits, affectionate and protective of his territory and family.  He's content to nestle in his carrier or your lap.  He minds very well with an easy nature and easy to care for.  He's really smart too.  He has figured out that by running up the three steps and pushing the door with some momentum, he can let himself back into the house while his foster mom is walking another dog. 

Prince Carl eats dry food, but he likes wet food and treats.  He was treated for flea allergies when we first received him.  It is highly important he stay on monthly flea control (some included w/adoption).  Unfortunately, his previous owner ran into hard times and could no longer afford to care for him.

Prince Carl is house and kennel-trained, neutered, and up-to-date on his shots, including bordetella for boarding purposes.  He was heartworm negative when tested May 4, 2011.
