Kodi (short for Kodiak because he looked like a little bear when he was a baby) is a stereotypical Russian Blue.  He's friendly, likes to sit in your lap, doesn't mind being held.  He's very sweet.  He sometimes chirps when playing or moving about the room.  He's got big handsome eyes and he'll look right at you.

Kodi was originally adopted by an 11-yr old girl who gave up candy for a year to prove she could be dedicated to taking care of a cat.  Turns out she wasn't mature enough to give Kodi the care he needed and her parents returned him to us.  They said that he was a wonderful kitty.  Shortly after his return, we notice that his muzzle was hard.  We took him to the vet and it turned out that his top two fangs (K9s) had grown so that they were sticking forward out puncturing the inside of his muzzle instead of pointing down as they normally do.  His muzzle had holes in it from the teeth poking it and was infected.  Poor Kodi!  It must of hurt a lot!  Since they don't make braces for kitty teeth, we had to remove them.  It's a good thing he was returned because his mouth had been that way for a while.  Since he's now missing his two front teeth, his cute pink little tonuge sticks out a bit, but he doesn't drool.  This may or may not stop once he is all healed.  There are still dissolving stitches but the infection is gone and Kodi feeling much better.

Kodi's adoption fee is $50.00 which includes up-to-date shots, FeLV test (he's negative) and he's already neutered.  He is litterbox trained.  Kodi would be a great only kitty.  He likes people better than cats.  But he would be ok in a two or three cat home.  Now that he doesn't hurt all the time he's getting along much better with the other kitties in his foster home.
